ea I love alliterationAnother adventurous me moment, I got to go with my friend Allison also known as boss lady, she was my program manager way back when I was just a little corps member. I also lovingly call her my life coach/guru. We got a living social deal and headed to Oak Hill, WV which SURPRISE was FIVE + hours away (Note when buying any kind of deal check the location FIRST..oops!)

needless to say Allison got us to nowhere West Virginia in one piece. We then had to maneuver our way to a makeshift campsite (because we arrived at 2 am and all the legitimate sites were taken). I have to say if there was a scouting badge for "setting up a tent in the dark at 2 am while drunk and on a gangsta lean" I sooo should receive it. The next morning we got ourselves together, bummed around for a bit and then headed out to meet our group that we would be with for the day. I have to say Living Social knows how to throw a party because we had a great time. It was the perfect weather to go rafting and all the people were so lively and fun. I would definitely do something again with them, in fact I AM! I will be tackling another item on this list (something of the snow variety) very soon.
If you have not been to New River GO THERE, definitely worth the drive! It is the definition of nature porn. (Hey Traveler.com hire me), it literally took my breath away.
